Pesara  Pachadi

This chutney made from Moong dal  is eaten with rice and ghee.

Ingredients

Peasara pappu (yellow moon dal)- 1 cup
Oil- 2 tsps
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Channa dal- 1 tsp
Hing
Red chillies- 4 (or more as desired)
Curry leaves
Tamarind to  taste or lemon juice
salt to taste

Method

Soak pesara pappu in water for 20 mins
Heat the oil. Fry the channa dal, urad dal and mustard seeds with hing. Add the red chillies and curry leaves
Grind everything together to a paste add tamarind paste or lemon juice and salt.
This chutney should be smooth and liquidy .
